Your Favorite Projects Of 2016!

newyears-2web

Whew! We made it through 2016 guys! While it was a HUGE year for my business, it was a pretty bad year globally, so I’m definitely not sad to see it go. You have all been amazing and I could not have grown so much this past year without your support. One of my favorite things was getting to meet so many of YOU in 2016! (If any of you are coming to New York in 2017, make sure to say hey!) You all helped me to expand Aww Sam substantially, and I was fortunate to be able to work on some amazing projects with some incredible brands as a result. I worked harder than I’ve ever worked before in 2016, struggling to manage everything on my own most days, on top of taking all of the photographs, editing, crafting, baking, etc. But nobody tells you running your own business is easy, right? Ha! There’s nothing else I’d rather be doing though, and after burning out somewhere in the middle of the year, I learned how to slow down a little bit and have fun creating and sharing with all of you again. So without further ado, here were the most viewed posts of 2016! See if you can spot any of your personal favorites in there!

It’s no surprise that the flamingo pool float cake made it up there. You guys went CRAZY for that cake and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to make another dessert to top the views that that little guy got! It’s been so fun to watch all of you make your own versions of our projects (we’ve got some super crafty and creative readers for sure!) and I can’t wait to see you continue to DIY as we make brighter and better content for 2017! And speaking of the new year, we want to know what YOU want to see! This will be my second year blogging, and while I’m definitely setting some big goals for myself to accomplish, I’m ready to buckle down and focus on blog and video content above all else. So what kind of content are you missing? Fashion, beauty, home? These are things I haven’t done much of (mostly because I feel comfortable with baking first), but I’d love to push myself to do some things that might be out of my comfort zone. SO let us know in the comments what you want to see from us!

P.S. What are some of your goals for 2017? Happy New Year!

  1. Amazing work, Sam!! Can’t see what you bring for the new year. Might be visiting new York this spring so maybe a vlog about your favorite places in NYC?

  2. Couldn’t be prouder of all the phenomenal work you did in 2016 <3 Looking forward to seeing all the amazing things you create in 2017!

  3. LOVE it all so much! I love your use of bright colors, especially hot pink! The donut costume stood out to me the most. I bought all the donuts, but didn’t quite finish the rest of the costume. Your site and shares just make me happy!
