Funfetti Birthday Cake Freeze Pops/Ice Pops Recipe

Do you guys remember freeze pops (or otter pops as they call them some places) from when you were a kid?! I always used to get the fla-vor-ice ones and the blue raspberry flavor was the first to go! Blue raspberry is basically my favorite flavor in everything! Since you might already know we’re all about bringing back childhood treats and nostalgia here at Aww Sam, we’re showing you a fun spin on the traditional freeze pops with FUNFETTI BIRTHDAY CAKE flavored ones! Since you guys loved the birthday cake mocktail we did so much, I thought we’d bring back that same fun, birthday cake flavor in a frozen version. And what better way to celebrate the official start of Summer than with a treat that’ll help you cool off?

Reusable freeze pop bags (here)
3 cups vanilla ice cream
3/4 cups yellow cake mix
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup milk
1 cup rainbow sprinkles

1. Combine ice cream, cake mix, vanilla, and milk in a blender and blend until smooth.

2. Pour mixture into a bowl and mix in rainbow sprinkles.

3. Using a funnel, pour into freeze pop bags about 3/4 of the way full. Seal the bags and freeze for 4 hours or until completely frozen. Enjoy!

You are SO ready to take on the Summer heat now! It hasn’t gotten too crazy temperature-wise here in NYC yet, but I know some of you out on the West Coast are already in the 100s, so you’ll definitely be needing a cool treat to get you through the heat wave!!
