Ever since I made the flower-covered backpack that you guys loved so much, I’ve been patiently waiting to do another flower project, so when Zevia asked if I wanted to collaborate on a post I knew I had to make this DIY tray and bring back the flower power! I’ve been flower crazy this Spring, and there’s nothing that’s not going to get a little hot glue and flower action on my watch. The Zevia cans almost got some added flowers too! Ha!
If you guys don’t know about Zevia yet (seriously? what are you waiting for?) they’re not only crazy delicious, BUT they’re zero calorie, naturally sweetened, sugar free, AND non-GMO project verified. So basically they’re everything that you would want in a perfect soda! And to all my vegan readers, they’re vegan too! Bam!
Have any of you tried Zevia yet? What’s your favorite flavor? We LOVE the ginger ale one over here. Once the ginger ale arrived in the studio, it was gone in no time!
1. Prep the tray by cleaning off any dirt or dust.2. Hot glue the flowers to the bottom of the tray, making sure that they’re as flat as they can be.
3. Once you have filled the tray completely with flowers, cover any holes with modeling clay so that the resin doesn’t pour out. I covered the handles and the open edges of the tray I used.
4. Use the instructions on the epoxy resin to mix it together. Pour the resin into the tray and let it set on a level surface to dry for 24 hours.
5. Once it’s dry, you’re ready to go!
You are totally ready for the “May flowers” part of the saying now! Now go get yourself a cherry cola Zevia and some fake flower’s and you’ll be on your way to making an awesome tray flower tray for Spring!
